Q2_2018 How Do You Become Agile as an Individual? And Change the World in Doing So?
By Florian Ivan, Training Instructor with Strategy Execution
The “Why Are You Here?” Question
Every time I deliver a course I like to ask the participants why they want to learn about Agile. I guess that’s a pretty common question for an Agile class. Except, in most cases, I tend to repeat two or even three times the “why” question.
One of the most thrilling experiences of delivering a class is to discover the “why” that makes somebody sit down and listen to you for two or three days in a row.
The other question that I always ask is at the end. And it goes something like this “will you be able to implement this in your organisation?” As you can probably guess, a very common answer is “this is great but my company is not yet ready to support it”.

Q2_2018 A brain-friendly approach to harvesting benefits from an Agile transformation
By Christian Mark Christensen and Rasmus Rytter, Implement Consulting Group
Transforming an organisation from working with waterfall models to working with Agile methods and mindsets is a large change for everyone involved. Often, Agile starts in one corner of the organisation and is scaled from there. This approach can be very effective in the beginning and can create a lot of energy. But often, implementations like this lose their bearings and suffer a series of local setbacks. Agile becomes a word instead of the new way of working and thinking, and the benefits are never realised to the full extent.

Q2_2018 CBS-PMI collaboration - Master Thesis Sponsorship and Supervision
Do you want to help advance the practice, science and profession of project, program and portfolio management in Denmark? And are you interested in mentoring, challenging and engaging young people with interest in project, program and portfolio management? If you can answer “yes” to any of those questions, then maybe you are just the one PMI Denmark is looking for.
PMI Denmark is increasing its collaboration with academia, and one of our initiatives is to facilitate the match between Master Thesis industrial sponsors/supervisor in the industry and engaged students in universities. Ideally, the Sponsor/Supervisor is working at a private or public organization in an area related to project, program and portfolio management and is committed to sponsor the development of a topic or question that a student could investigate in depth through his or her Master Thesis.
