We would like to give you an update of our activities in the Board and our perspectives for the coming months.
The team is now as complete as it gets, and we are eager to support our members with conferences, events and training opportunities as Covid19 allows us to. We have not been able to operate in 2020 as originally planned due to Covid19. For 2020, we set out to strengthen our core services, our base in Jutland, the PM conference and events, career development offerings, communication, and member benefits.
The General Assembly confirmed the following representatives for the Board:
- President: Peter Helmer Sørensen
- VP Certification: Klaus Nielsen
- VP Communication: Alvaro Buxens
- VP Jutland Branch: Sara Jamali
- VP PMI Young Professionals: Daniella Todorova
- VP Finance: Henrik Feld
- VP Members & Volunteers: Sinan Ozmen
- VP Administration: Kamila Lipinska
We have expanded the team with three additional representatives filling three empty seats
- Interim VP Events: Tom Markussen
- Interim VP Marketing & Sponsors: Maggie Lu
- Interim VP Special Projects: Peter Duroska
VP Administration Kamila Lipinska has moved to the Communication team and VP Members & Volunteers, Sinan Ozmen, has retired.
Our core services remain loyal to the focus of ‘helping to further develop the individual professional project manager’ but we have not been able to arrange as many opportunities for our members as we would normally do. A couple of examples: We planned the annual PMI conference with Microsoft, pushed the deadline from spring to autumn only to cancel the event due to national restrictions, same situation with the physical event planned with IDA, which we managed to put online instead.
We are also a bit challenged providing opportunities focused on further building our base in Jutland as we cannot make specific online Jutland events or provide a dedicated service to the members in Jutland.
While we needed to adapt to the circumstances, we are now a full team whose primary task will focus on securing online events, conference and communication. We expect to have an exciting portfolio of online presentations and events and we will also plant the 2021 PMI Conference, hoping that we are all Covid19 vaccinated by that time.
2020 is our 20th anniversary as a national PMI Chapter, quite an impressive achievement. We wanted to celebrate our birthday and achievements through the past 20 years with a grand party, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we hope to throw a party in connection with the General Assembly in spring
I want to encourage as many of you as possible to engage with us and help managing and arranging our events and activities. Please feel free to contact me directly at President@pmi-dk.org or contact PMI Denmark here, remember that good things happen when you get involved with PMI 😊.
