Christmas Networking event for the PMI DK Chapter with Anders Høeg Brask from Nationalbanken at Kulturhuset, Islands Brygge on 10 December.

Anders Høeg Brask from  Nationalbanken will start the evening with a talk about how to distinguish between doing the right projects instead of the wrong ones?

We will meet after the presentation for a Christmas drink & snack and focus on socializing and networking.

How do distinguish between doing the right projects instead of the wrong ones?

The demand for new IT always exceeds the supply of resources available to do the projects. So how do you make sure that you only do the right projects for your company? How do you choose between the projects who fits your strategic goals, the ones who secure the most compliance, the ones who mitigate most risks or the ones with the best return of investment?

For the past five years, we have worked rigorously with developing our Project Portfolio Management governance in Danmarks Nationalbank. Among the things that we have done is the developing of a screening motor, which helps us asses new project ideas, and especially how it fits our business and IT-strategy. We have at the same time implemented big changes to the project governance setup and the stage-gate model. We did all this whilst we were in the middle of outsourcing our IT development and IT operations to an external vendor. Get an insight into what we have done - which tools we have invented, and what we have learned in the process.

Anders Høeg Brask
Anders has worked with IT-projects and the developing and execution of IT-management schemes for the past 15 years. The challenge of trying to control and add value - when the desk is moved from the office to real life - is what makes him tick

He is currently employed as a Project Portfolio Manager in Danmarks Nationalbank. He previously worked as a Project Manager and Project Governance Consultant in Danmarks Nationalbank and at Devoteam Consulting. Before that he worked for the government, where he introduced Business Case driven project management. He has a master's in Public Administration from Aalborg University, and has numerous certifications such as: PRINCE2 Practitioner, Management of Portfolio Practitioner, Scrum Master and ITIL v3.
